:  A community shared working space that’s about you and where you can share tools, knowledge, ideas & dreams to kickstart your own personal talents, curiosities, ideas, and projects.

Makers Kapolei (MSK) is a MakerSpace non-profit all about building interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math (STEAM) on Oahu’s Central, Leeward & West Side areas.   Working with Native Hawaiians, under-served, local adolescent, and at-risk populations is a special part of our mission to serve the community.

Purpose / Mission:

  • MSK Motto: Ma ka Hana, ka Mana  “The power is in the doing.”
  • Promote Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math (STEAM)
  • Increase community access to STEAM research, programs & projects
  • Build on educational experiences through outreach & tutoring
  • Provide community support for new economic opportunities

Current desired targets:

  • Community interests, needs, and desires for shared resources
  • Multi-talented members as instructors
  • Incubating space for entrepreneurs
  • Stimulate technical & artistic exploration and expression
  • Provide media-equipped conference & desk spaces
  • Energize the next generation of Hawaii’s (and visiting) engineers, thinkers, tinkerers, programmers, dreamers and creators
